Berlin’s gritty, characterful streets make it an exceptional city for street photography and exploration. Combined with an outstanding coffee scene, it became a place where I could slow down, observe, and develop my eye. So much so that I’ve returned several times over the years.
Berlin’s history — and the way the city has rebuilt and redefined itself — feels foundational to modern Europe, raising questions about the role this former seat of power now plays on the global stage. Walking its neighbourhoods, I was struck by how migrant communities have made Berlin their home, adding layers of energy, culture, and everyday vibrancy that continue to shape the city’s identity.
