Edinburgh was the first place I travelled to with photography as the sole purpose, after picking up a camera in 2018. There was something liberating about exploring a city with a new kind of intent — to observe closely, and to capture not just what I saw, but what I felt.

Edinburgh felt cinematic and dramatic. Steep, winding streets carved through weathered sandstone tenements, their muted greys shifting with the light. The air was cool with early autumn, and within walking distance I found shadowed lanes, quiet villages, and even a mountain rising above the city. It felt like a place drawn from fantasy, yet deeply familiar and quietly homely.
